PEP STORE DISRESPECTFUL SECURITY HARASSING CHILDREN

Im writing this review with great disappointment and anger because of the treatment i got at PEP store Meadow Point. I went in there with two of my siblings ages 11 and 14 to check for a few of their school stuff as well as cellphone gadgets as we were in the area passing by, as we were about to enter a security guard without a name tag tells me i cannot go in with the kids and i ask him why hes response was its a pep rule . I then asked him since when does this rule apply because as far as i am aware people are allowed in and out of stores because they're customers ... i told him i would understand if we were maybe dressed inappropriately but we came here specifically to buy things and i will not leave outside because its ridiculous .

He was speaking in deep Sotho / Tswana or is Pedi i can not tell them apart and we seemed to be not understanding each other which is when i said to him , I do not understand the language you are speaking can you please speak in English , Zulu or Ndebele if you can , he said he will not speak isiZulu because he can hear what i am saying and its not his problem that i cant hear him .

A lot of people were walking in and out of the store and i did not understand why it had to be my siblings being told to stand outside , They were dressed appropriately and very clean . I walked into the store with both my siblings and choose to ignore these rules set by a security guard who could not even conversate in English , On our way out of the store he stopped us amongst other customers and said he wanted to show us that i quote " Ikhanda lakhe liya tshisa" meaning hes hot headed and to prove some point that he has authority over everyone going in the store .

He searched my litte brother and told us to wait while he looked for a female staff to search us because i refused that he searches me or my sister .... I felt harassed and humiliated because i don't understand what point he was trying to prove . The female staff who came to search us asked why he is doing this because she saw us shopping and looking around as she was shelf packing my response to her was i don't know .

Firstly i do not know why the security was hired if they cannot be respectful towards customers nor speak english as it is the main communication language

2. I would like to know if it is indeed true that children are not allowed PEP in stores with their parents or guardians and are told to stand outside in this ridiculous weather.

I do not like the treatment i got from that security guard, He might have thought she thinks shes better because of the English she was speaking but i know how to respect people and talk to them in a very respectful manner irregardless of their job title its called humanity.

Kindly look into this matter , because i don't want anyone else being taken advantage of by this person who most probably did a two weeks training and now thinks they know the law.
