I am sharing this review, as i was quite horrified about the measures a store in Greenacres Port Elizabeth had in place to combat Covid 19.

I understand that everyone needs to work to be able to provide for our families, however not at the cost of others.

I went into the store to purchase some items, we were allowed in, i started browsing the curtain section which was empty, then i went to pay, there i found a line of about 20 people, no social distancing taking place.

I started to feel agitated and started looking around, where i noticed another 10 or so people browsing in the store.

I went to the entrance and asked how many people are designated to be in the store at one time, the response i got was 20, i mentioned that there were too many people in the store, the response i got was the people would wait outside until such time the numbers were right.

As i turned my back the gentleman allowed more people into the store.

I asked for the manager to sort out this problem, Lana was her name, she went to the gentleman and he said the problem occurred because he had to go to the bathroom, the manageress seemed irritated with me for being concerned about my safety.

My Fiance was in the line at this time, the cashier was speaking to a lady who commented that i was being unnecessary as everyone wanted to shop and not stand outside, the staff member agreed including the doorman as to the ladies statement that i was being unnecessary.

The reason apparently that the people are allowed in is because the staff would have to work later then to service the customers standing outside.

The staff was unaware that my Fiance was in the line at that point, as i had taken a call and went outside, and she overheard all that transpired.

This behavior of a known brand store and their staff with regards to a valid threat to all our lives is totally unacceptable.
