PEP Home 4 shelve bathroom stand

I bought a 4 shelve bathroom stand at PEP Home at Cavendish Glen some time in May. I assembled the stand at home on 31/05/2021 and to my surprise the *****s were missing and the shelves were falling apart. I went to PEP Home at Kolonade Retail Park and was (not) assisted by a gentleman by the name of Mackson. He concluded that he will not help me as I would have to return to where I bought the stand and because I didn’t have a slip I would be wasting my time. He also maintains that the shop in which I bought it should have checked the item upon purchase and that he will not take responsibility for it. The stand is clearly new and shows no signs of wear or mishandling. PEP has a rewards program that captures all purchases. Seemingly they are not able to trace or recover a receipt for such instances. PEP Home was coming along right with hood decor items for reasonble prices but the service and quality is the worst of the bunch.
