PEP demands payment without sending Statement of Account
My PEP account has been locked for some obscure reason as a result of my telephonic request for payment details to phone number ***on the 12th January 2016. This after not receiving any payment advice via SMS since mid November 2016. Their agent Laura informed me that I could not be verified because I did not remember the location of my last purchase. I travel a lot and purchased from many different towns. PEP verification dept. demands 3 months of my personal banking details, ie whom I pay and who pays me must be disclosed to them in order to unlock my account. I offered to send 3 months banking statements with all the transactions redacted that don't concern them, but that was rebuffed, I do not think any reasonable person should be forced to disclose their personal transactions to anyone. I have informed the verification dept. today to close my account should they wish to, and that should I not receive a payment advice/or statement via e-mail they will not get paid. BTW I paid an amount early January in good faith but I refuse to make any further payment for which I do not receive an account. Period.
