Pep cell - don’t buy your phone at Pep pls
My mom bought a phone at Pep Cell in Springs. A couple of days later the phone wasn’t charging, it was dead. She went back and reported this. She lost her receipt which she did explain to the guy who helped her and he requested that she bring a bank statement of which she did. On that same day the guy too her phone ‘ boosted’ the battery & the phone was working again. When she came back with the bank statement the lady said no they need the actual receipt. She took the phone and scanned it & said I can see you bought it here but we still need the actual receipt and nothing else will work because when we take the phone back to our supplier , in which case the phone was from Vodacom , the supplier will refuse to fix the phone with no receipt. In less than 2 weeks a brand new phone is no longer working & they can’t take it back because of receipt. I called Pep and spoke to a lady where I asked to to speak to her manager & she told me her manager is on leave. I asked who’s the second in charge and she said no one. I asked for the head office number and she said she’s not allowed to give that out. It’s very *********** of pep that u omg work with receipts . Have a system then where u have an option to email the customer their receipt just like Mr Price. For the fact that u could see on your system that the phone was bought there within less than 10 days and a bank statement to prove it and you still couldn’t help is such poor service. Till today my moms phone doesn’t charge and when it does charge and switches on, within a couple of minutes it’ll say it’s on 90% . I had recommended my mother initially to buy a more pricy phone but I think she made a good decision not too if this was the kind of service she would have endured with her money. You keep advertising these low prices you have with mobile phones knowing very well that some of them aren’t in good condition but yet you sell them to the customers.
