Good Morning, I bought a Hisense U40 Lite at Pep Cell (Mdantsane Mall branch) on the 28th November 2020. On the 15th December 2020 I have noticed that the phone has a battery problem, when its charging it does not go beyond 32%. I could not return it to the store as I was out of town for holidays. I returned it back to the store on the 15th January 2021 and they said it will be taken for repairs. I have waited for two months and only got it back on the 10th March 2021 with 32% battery capacity. When I reached home I put it on the charger for he whole night but still its 32%. Today, 11th March 2021 I contacted the Store Manager, Ms Zoliswa Gwavu explained the problem to her and she said there is nothing she can do except for her to send the phone for repairs again, meaning I have to wait for another 2 MONTHS, mind you I run a business with this phone. I requested for a refund as I am not in a position to wait for another 2mnths, she advised that they don't give out refund and the phone has to undergo repairs 3 times before getting another phone. I even called their consumer care and I was told the same story. It will be good if they explain their rules and regulation before the deal is done so that you know exactly the type of store you making deal with. I really want my money back so that I can buy another phone elsewhere, I'm done with Pep Cell with its unfair consumer regulations. Now my money is with Pep and I don't have a cell phone, I really felt being ****** by PepCell.
