Paper weight present as reminder of ********** service

My Boyfriend brought a cellphone from Randridge Mall Pep Home. I needed a phone that I could use on the Cell C Network for work, but unfortunately the cellphone is network locked on Vodacom. He was under the impression that the phone could be used on any network because it is dual SIM. We inserted both the Vodacom SIM Card and Cell C SIM Card, which was when that we realised that the phone is network locked. He went back to the store, who informed him that only faulty phones could be returned or exchanged. I then contacted customer care who informed me that the only person who could assist me would be the store manager. I contacted the store manager, who told me that, because my boyfriend didn't specifically ask for a Cell C phone (they did not advise him that the phone is network locked to Vodacom), there is nothing they can do. Now I have a R850 ornament that I can't use. Thank you for your incredible unwillingness to assist me. I will definitely advise people to never ever buy a cellphone from any of your stores again. BTW, the manager was also very disinterested that I informed her that I was going to do reviews on Hellopeter and Google. I should have gone to Ackermans or anywhere else for a budget phone - I'm sure I would have been able to speak to someone who at least gave a bit of a ****, but hey - customer service is a lot to hope for right. Maybe the regional manager can contact me, then I can give him/her the the phone as a decorative paper weight and a reminder of not giving a **** about service. Well done guys.
