I was on the road yesterday and happened to pass through Soweto. Having recently come out of hospital I was in need of a handset so I went into Pep Cell....big mistake. The handset I was looking for was out of stock, so I took what they had because I really needed a handset. I purchased the handset and went on my merry way. When I got home (miles from where I purchased the hanset) I discovered the hanset was faulty. It freezes, does open some preinstalled apps and is just slow. I took it to the Pep cell in Ennerdale where told me to go back to where I purchased the handset. When I refused, the lady "helping" me (Lebohang) suggested I log a Hello Peter complaint. Who does that? Recommending thatnI lodge an official public complaint against the organization for which you work for and represent tells me alot about the training of these people. I will not drive back to Soweto to have the handset exchanged. What if I was from another province? I'd have to spend thousands of rands to travel to replace a R400 handset? Besides, this store has the handset I orginally wanted and I am prepared to pay the R150 difference. If I do not get help from Pep cell Ennerdale TODAY, I will return this handset to them for a full refund and I will never do business with Pep or Pep cell again.
