Online account application is *****

I'm only giving PEP 3 stars because I don't have a problem with PEP itself. However, I would love an explanation for this: I wanted to apply for an account online. I started the process and was promptly declined. Before actually applying.... based on my ID number alone. I had not even gotten to the part yet where I supply my bank statements. Lol. Ridiculous. Oh, well. I'll go somewhere else then.
