not RICA registered with documents taken to the store

PEP Randridge Mall I went in to purchase a vodacom sim card with my ID and proof of residency expecting my sim card to get RICA registered so I could use it to do a sim swap as my phone was ****** and I cannot gain access to any apps or accounts without my cellphone number only to receive an sms at 3 the next morning sating I have not been registered. Useless waste of my time, what was the point then of having the documents needed when purchasing????
