My grandson was injured on 12/11/2017 as a result of bad quality/morning slippers my wife purchased from a Pep store. He slipped and fell causing injuries to his head.At about 10 that evening we had to rush him to ICU,because he had convulsions.Scans was done, and he was kept overnight for observation and was discharged the following day at about 15h00.I took the matter up with Pep Head Office requesting an investigation into the bad quality of the product.I asked for a C.O.C in order for me to ascertain as to how and why the product of such inferior quality even made to our shelves. After long deliberation and countless calls to their offices i was informed via mail that my claim was dismissed.I needed them to take accountability for hospital expenses incurred and the trauma my grandson had to endure at the age of 3 and half years. They even made mention that i was argumentative and aggressive in the matter.Of cause i would be,its my grandson we talking about here, not a dog should even be treated in this manner.I just need to vent, and raise my concern to the matter they have handled it.I have involved the CGSO for their intervention and investigation as well. The CGSO has been in contact with them, and abovementioned was their response.I will not however be taken for ride in this manner and will pursue the matter until such time people and institutions owns up to their wrongdoing and inconsideration for us as the public. This is uncalled for as i feel our rights as consumers has been violated by this company.I always maintain...if one is wrong, one is wrong.Take accountability for your ones actions, and not always come up with lame excuses for one to bail out of the situation. This is an inferior product that was sold. How can one sell kiddies morning slippers with a plastic non grip sole. Its just obvious kids are going to hurt themselves.I was actually told they do not have any form of C.O.C for that item.I have indicated my dissatisfaction to the CGSO,and await their response as to the way forward.
