Nasty service from PEP Home Newtown

I had the most disrespectful and distasteful experience from PEP home in Newtown Junction Mall today. I bought two white ornaments yesterday and they wrapped them with a Pick n Pay paper, by the time I got home it had came out on the ornaments and they looked blue and grey.

Today I went back to exchange them and when I got to there I was assisted by a cashier by the name of Mashudu and she had an attitude ere I even mentioned what my I was in the store for. I paid her attitude no mind, explained what my case to which her response was I have to go get the other ornaments that are still clean. I went to get them, found one and I went back to the cashier and she was busy with another customer.

When I came back to the tills, Nomfundo was serving the last customer and left the tills while I was standing there and at first I thought Mashudu would probably finish soon with the customer she was busy with. I waited off over 8-10 minutes and then I asked her politely if she could call the other cashier(Nomfundo) that was assisting customers to help because I running out of time as I was rushing to a meeting. To which her response was “you must wait “ with a condescending attitude and her manager (Princess) was standing right behind as she responds to me like that.

I then told her that number 1 I was already at the till and you sent me to go get the ornaments which I didn’t even take a minute. Secondly I simply asked if you could call the other lady to come assist with the exchange since you are still busy with the customer and then her manager jumps in and egotistically says “you customers love to fight even there’s no need” and then that shifted my attitude because all along I was fine till she said that. Because I was genuinely asking for the other lady to help since Mashudu was busy the customer.

Then the manager start talking about I always fight whenever I am at their store because apparently me asking for help whenever I’m looking for something is me fighting according to Nomfundo who’s usually the lady on the floor that I would ask when I am looking for something or buying. Then Princess starts ranting about I always ask them to do this and that( which from my understanding is what they are there for, to help ups with what we looking for and buying).

I had gotten only one of the ornaments and I was going to exchange for it but I just got disgusted by their treatment and the attitude of the manager herself to be disrespectfully rude to me like that in front of her cashier and other customers, I ended up requesting just my refund and left. The Weird part about all this is I always buy there and I didn’t know that me asking for help from the staff was so much of inconvenience to them.

I bought a console desk from PEP home in Jewel City on the Monday the 10th and their service was great. Same day I bought the ornament s from PEP home in Newtown, and I got a different experience. I am a huge PEP home supporter, especially Newtown. But never again. I’ve an issue with them when I had bought a router that didn’t work and they hadn’t checked before I left with it as per procedure and that had to be resolved by the area manager. However I thought that was just an incident but since that happened they’ve always been funny towards me and I was just nonchalant about their attitude and treatment plus their are the store closest to me. But never again will even make the slightest mistake of supporting them. I would rather travel to other PEP store that are even far from me or opt for other competitors.
