Money is not safe with the PEP money transfere service

On the 09/05/2017 I deposited R2250 in total at PEP using the PEP money transfere service in Johannesburg (in the branch next to the MNT taxi rank). This amount was broken done into 3 deposits - R1000, another R1000 and R250. The recipient only received R1250 - R1000 was never received. I went back to enquire about the missing money, Thami Haya (the guy who served when I made the deposit) told me to call the call PEP call center. The call center told me that the money was withdrawn at 12:23 on the same day from an ABSA ATM around the PEP branch where I made the deposit. I made the deposit at 11:53. I went back to Thami Haya to ask how this happened he was no willing to help and he refused to even give me his full name so I can open the case at the police station. I would be happy to get my money back, and we would be happy to use the service freely if they can improve their service and pay back the missing money. I was told I am not the only victim of this.
