I visited a PEP home store in Maponya Mall a few weeks ago to buy a few items for home. I bought about ten bowls for R11.99. When I got to the till I was told that the price had gone up and that the bowls were no longer R11.99 but R15.99.

I explained to the Teller that there was no way I was going to pay R15.99 as this price was not on the items and therefore did not exist. The Teller said there was nothing she could do. This is when I requested to speak to a Manager. The Manager came (Puselesto) and I explained to her what had happened. She told me the same story and that she had been changing prices on these items since morning. I was at the store at around 16:00pm and Puseletso had been changing the price on ten bowls since morning. She had items sitting on the shelve the whole day with prices scratched out.

I felt that my rights as a customer were disregarded and the treatment I got from this store was unfair. You cannot have items sitting on the shelve with prices scratched out or no prices at all.
