Forced to pay full price

I found a pair of shoes on the sale table, with a sale price on it. The cashier and manager refused to give it to me for that price, removed the price from the shoes and forced me to pay for it at full price. I am very upset as they asked me don't I know the price codes for girls shoes etc. They were very rude
