Extremely Disappointed with PEP's Delivery / Logistics Partner
I had a highly unpleasant and unacceptable experience with PEP’s delivery team on 17th July at around 10:30 AM at the Gordon's Bay Mall. The delivery personnel rode their trolley through my café (deck area), bumping against and damaging my umbrellas. When I approached the team member to address the issue, he responded rudely and dismissively, stating that he would continue using my café as a thoroughfare and that if I had a problem, the store team should fetch deliveries themselves from the delivery bay.
Not only was his behavior unprofessional and arrogant, but it also showed a complete disregard for my business, property, and the safety of my customers.
To make matters worse, when I called PEP’s head office to escalate the matter, I was told that the relevant person was away for Mandela Day celebrations, and therefore my complaint could not be handled.
This lack of accountability and respect from both the delivery team and head office is extremely disappointing. I urge PEP to take immediate action to review their logistics partner’s behavior and protocols — especially when dealing with businesses and public spaces. This is not the standard of professionalism I expect from a national retailer.
