Extremely Disappointed – Poor Customer Service at PEP Clothing (Atlas Mall) I had a very disappointing experience at PEP Clothing in Atlas Mall. I picked up an item that was placed directly above a price label, only to find out at the till that the price was different. When I questioned this, the cashier (Andy) was dismissive and unwilling to listen. He insisted that the price on the screen was correct and refused to go verify it on the shelf with me.

I had to insist on speaking to a manager, and eventually Thandeka and Nqobile came over. They did confirm that the label description was incorrect and did not match the item — meaning it was clearly a packing error on the store's part. However, instead of apologising for the confusion or the misleading pricing (which could be seen as false advertising), I was simply told, “It’s not our fault,” and that I should have read the description, not just the price.

This kind of response is unacceptable from a store that should take responsibility for its merchandising and customer experience. The complete lack of accountability, empathy, or even a simple apology was shocking. I ended up cancelling the item out of principle.

Do better, PEP. This experience has definitely made me reconsider shopping at your stores again.
