end of range pricing

I bought infants pajamas which was hanging on The end of range rail, where clothes is marked down. It had no price tag on when I reached the till nobody was sure what the price on the item was suppose to be eventually the 1 cashier rep**** the price on the pajamas was R54,99. This was the original price . I paid the original price as nobody knew what the discounted price was. Isn't there suppose to be systems in place in case something like this happens(where a price tag is missing) this was the only pair of pajamas available. I would like to have my discount as end of range are cheaper than normal price.....
