Dissapointed

I bought some items on lay-bye about a week ago , 1 item is small & I lost the receipt, the Campus Square store refuses to exchange/refund without a receipt with tags still on. Bigger stores gladly assist if you've lost your Receipt I don't see what is the Problem here??
