Disrespect and Bad Customer Service

I went to PEP clothing in Mamelodi Denlyn last week. After selecting the items I wanted to purchase, then I was ready to pay. As soon as I got to the counter, I realized that the employees were having a nice chat, they continued as if I'm not there, in fact it was as if I don't exist as the cashier took my items, scanned them, next thing I heard was "plastic?" Wow!! No greeting, nothing. I really felt insulted, but I calmly responded "How are you today?" "We greet first before we can ask each other about plastics and staff." After responding, she still continued with her chat with her colleagues....

What ever happened to customer service, I am talking about proper customer service, where employees respect a customers preference in the store, making sure that the customer is satisfied by further asking "will that be all?"

Do Retail staff still get training though together with their managers or are owners running a circus?? This happens mostly in townships, black people disrespecting black people.

I then walked to Shoprite to also purchase a few items, the cashier was nice, but wow, I'm so bad with names. None the less, after paying there was no one to pack my items in the plastic bags, and I looked around and saw that each and every customer was packing their own grocery, again, only in townships, all Shoprite stores do this, you will NEVER find such treatment at the malls in the suburbs, WHY??
