Good morning
I was so disgusted, appalled and fuming by you Philani - Umlazi branch on Saturday. I went into the store i am told that i need to leave my handbag in the customer counter! The lady who was a cashier her badge had Ntombi on it caused a scene when my mom told the guy taking our parcels that he can search her when she leaves because she cannot leave her handbag. Ntombi (I think she is a team leader because of the way she spoke to this poor guy) tells him if he does not comply by taking our parcel she will report him, my mother just said to him I see the way thing are going just take my handbag before you lose your job and the lady said yes he might be in big trouble. What a way to treat your fellow colleague? in front of a customer even if we were not there that is not the way to speak/reprimand your staff that way. She needs serious training on customer care and if she is a team leader she needs serious training to be able to be in that position.
But guess what another lady came in and she was not told to leave her back and by the way they were talking with this Ntombi woman they knew each other i think, so it’s about whom I know or what? ? We had to take out our purses and cell phones out of our handbags and walk to the counter with them in our hands. Then because my mom came just to transfer money to my aunt who is in Eastern Cape she had to use PEP, she forgot her ID and had to ask for her handbag from the parcel counter again to take out the ID. Even customer who went in were called not politely as you walked pass the door the lady would shout from the till that you must leave your handbag at the counter. People were shocked by this behaviour that one lady decided not to come in the shop because she didn’t want to leave her back and I don’t blame her this is ridiculous and an inconvenience hence I will never ever enter into any Pep store just that it was convenient at the time. So the township people are *******? You do not get this type of harassment in the suburban branches. When I questioned this behaviour because its not my 1st time I went to this branch and have never been asked to leave my bag, the lady NTOMBI **** and told me it’s always been the case which is a **** i have never been asked to leave my bag in that store.
I have also posted this on your Facebook page.
