Bad customer service
Greetings,
I would love to lodge a complaint on terrible customer service that I experienced at one of your stores. On the 11/06/2023 I visited one of your Pep Stores, based at iMbali township (Mabulala) shop 7235, with the intent to lay buy a jersey and pants for a *** child.
When I reached the tillpoint I was attended to by cashier Samu, who said I could not lay buy such small amounts of clothes (quantity), of which I mentioned that I had been previously told if they were big enough in size I could proceed with such a transaction.
She then proceeded to call the manager, and the manager told her to process the transaction. Whilst in the process, she rudely asked who is supposed to find these items should they get lost? And then proceeded to ask how much am I willing to pay? Of which I asked her how much 20% of the total cost would be because that is what I was willing to pay. She then rudely rep**** (translated from isiZulu) "Who is supposed to calculate that because you are the one who wants to buy? Give me whichever amount you have."
I proceeded to ask why I was being subjected to such terrible customer service, especially in the presence of other customers too? Of which she rep**** that I am the one who is giving her a hard time because I want to place a lay buy on such small items which could easily be misplaced.
I then requested for the intervention of the manager, of whom rep**** she could not help because it's the cashiers (Samu) till, she instead canceled the transaction and had another cashier by the name Noxolo assist me at her till point, who did so in a kind and courteous manner.
Whilst the transaction continued with Noxolo, Samu still continued passing on snide remarks about me.
I am disappointed with the quality of service I received in this specific store, and also with the manager who did not even try to reprimand the cashier. I expect a formal apology from the cashier (Samu) and that her behavior is corrected accordingly.
