Avoid if at all possible. - previous employee for slave drivers.

Stay away, micromanagement of hours plays a big role in the companies DNA. You will be critiqued for doing too much work and doing too little.

They don’t train you to succeed, as stated in their DNA. They won’t send you on training unless it benefits the company so if you’re not a developer good luck.

I’ve seen people who have been their for eons, so promotion from within is not really happening unless they either force someone else out of their job by use of micromanagement or they will get you in a disciplinary hearing with “an independent party” aka the same person they used on prior occasions that was also at some point employed by the company.

HR is reactive as opposed to being proactive, if you have a query they won’t tell you the outcome you will have to wait months and then go and ask about the query.

You can get unlimited leave but you get questioned if try and take leave. There are no “off-seasons” rest assured if you take leave in specific teams, your work will either be there when you get back OR you will be called on your deserved time off.

Bonuses are great, the pay I would say is market related but if you start make sure to ask what you really want. (Hint, what you want is always too high for what they expected and you probably won’t get the job).

If you’re an intern you’ll be paid R5000 a month, given a 6 month probationary period and one or two of my former colleagues were not given a contract after the 6 months and also were not informed that they had in fact been accepted to continue working for the company.

They promise a fun working environment, which for the most part it was, until they became a listed entity and now their attempts at fun is cringeworthy at best. The “work is family” attitude is really toxic and people talk behind your back.

The clients you work for don’t care about your time, and if you are unlucky enough to be part of a ****py Exco team the Exco member will not defend your time and obviously would side with the client.

If you’re in finance, you will go nowhere. Perfect place to be overworked, underpaid and under appreciated.

Don’t question HR as they seem to be taking out anyone who asks a valid question because respect in this company goes one way. If you don’t respect your boss even if it’s for a valid reason you won’t be reallocated to another team but you will be escorted out of the company.

There is a reason some people have started, and in the same week they have left.

I’ve seen people quit their job, only to be rehired a month and sometimes a week later (sounds dodge to me but I can’t confirm those reasons).

Their contracts have you to stay for one calendar month before you can leave. Which makes it harder for people who want to leave, to actually leave and instead contributes to the festering hatred you will have towards this company.

Overall. They do not live up to their own goals, missions or visions. Promising everything in terms of quality of life but delivering very little. If you are young and want a place to be for a year and a half make sure you leave after that because you WILL NOT GROW. If you’re an older person who does not want to learn anything new this is place is a godsend as you can enjoy doing the same thing on the same software for 10-20years. Perfect for people with no ambition.
