An experience i don't want to repeat

So my wife lay-byes a jacket 3 months ago. Not reading on the slip that you have to make regular payments in the fine print and being advised by the cashier that you can put any amount down but you must collect the item within 3 months we leave the item for a week before the 3 months expires.

Why, because every month we go to Pep in Parow Center the lines are extremely long and we decide to leave it for next time.

So today i stand in the long queue because i have too, only to be told when i get to the till after 30 minutes that i need to stand in another line that only deals with lay-byes so you can imagine how i feel as i need to start work in 2 hours time.

So while i'm waiting the cashier decides to pick up a conversation with someone she recognizes in the line, in the back of the line off course! So she's literally shouting, like the SA vs IRE rugby match has started at 1pm today.

So after another 30 minutes wait its eventually my turn only to be told that my item was placed back on the shelf on the 07 Jun 2016 becuase i never made "regular payments" as stated on the slip!

So you can imagine how p####d off i am when the cashier tells my wife with a a lovely smile on the face, " Ag mam the item just wasn't meant to be for you!"

I told my wife to go sit in the car at that moment while i pay for the other itmes as i could see in my wife's mind how she is strangling this young woman to death with her bare hands for making such a senseless comment!

So as a long serving PEP customer this was really very dissapointing for our first time making a lay-bye!
