Refund
In October i bought a flight ticket with Pentravel to travel 2nd December. 29th December i received a call from the agent who assisted me to book the flight and she was telling me that the flight has been canceled. I expected her to ask gor my banking details to get back my money. No she was just apologizing, i asked her when I will get my money back she said it's not possible. As a travel agency i believe they need to get our moneiea back. I had to now source source out money full amount of another flight and i had an engagement to attend to in Nigeria. I was the one calling Pentravel no one bothered to call me and tell me the status of me getting a refund. The most painful thing is that i was made a fool being told i will get a traveling voucher. I didn't pay with the voucher i paid cash and since the airline spoke about voucher the agent should pay me and collect the voucher. I want my money back. I got to use that airline through pentravel which i didnt even know they excisted.
Thank you so much for taking my call .
Just a quick recap on our discussion:
o Due to the Omicron variant, the Angolan government temporarily closed borders between South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique.
o TAAG Angola Airlines had no choice but to cancel the flight you were booked on, and in turn all travellers holding a TAAG airline ticket were offered a future travel voucher to the same value as the original flight purchased.
I do truly sympathize and understand your frustration, but we, Pentravel (like any consortium / direct client), are bound by the airlines terms and conditions.
At Pentravel we aim to create the best customer experience and I want to ensure that even though we can not guarantee the outcome, as discussed, I will escalate the matter and address your concerns with the airline.
Thank you for your understanding.

Siobhan
