Unnacceptable

I purchased my vehicle in 2023 and was reminded for a service in 2024 and I was aware that I should do a service once a year , I purchased a service plan aswell however today when i took my car in they tell me the claim was rejected by Penta Motor Suzuki due to the fact that it was over and above the mileage for the year , Suzuki menlyn says they wrote it for me on my log book and thats how I should have known the mileage was over, in the last year I did not receive a single message to say that I needed to check that my mileage was over or any emails wrt my service , This is unacceptable as I had to pay R 1700 cash towards this when I already have a service plan in place

Good day,

We sincerely apologize for the experience you had when bringing your vehicle in for service. We understand how frustrating and unexpected it must have been to learn that your service plan claim was rejected and we regret any inconvenience this caused.

We understand how upsetting it must have been to face unexpected costs when you believed your service plan would cover them. Our records show that service reminders were sent and the next service details were also noted on your last service invoice to help keep you informed. We regret any confusion regarding the mileage limit and understand how this situation may have been frustrating. Your feedback is important to us.

If there is anything else that you need assistance with, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards

The Penta team

Please send me your proof of your reminders to me, I received a reminder 2 days ago which is why I brought my car in, over and above you send me an email by Janine Delo from the bookings department when I purchased my vehicle saying " The reason we would like to update your KMs is so we can update our records and send you accurate service reminders." What a misconception and lie to your customers when purchasing their vehicles ? No bodyk ever reads their log books and its a mere taking advantage of your clients to protect yourselves. I paid 18k for an extended service plan and warranty when I purchased my vehicle and now to have to deal with this kind of service is shocking
