Poor after sale service

I purchased a brand new Chery Tiggo on 29/03/2023 at Penta Chery. I immediately paid for a tracker that was to be installed before I received my vehicle. I contacted the sales person, and was advised to bring the car in again as I queried whether the tracker was in fact installed. After 1000km there was a loud strange noise from my radio and all of a sudden the USB did not want to connect. Took my car back again on 5000km, and was informed my USB has a ******* file, but was playing 100% fine in my spouses car, and through my laptop. Again the same loud strange noise came through the radio. This time the USB was working but the Voice prompt did not work. Took my car back and an update was done on the radio. End of September I just had enough because it is back and forth all the time. This time the aircon was not cooling, but was working perfect when I bought my car. Took my car back again after I sent a mail to customer care. When I collected my car, I was informed that the technician made the statement to the service reception, that the aircon wasn’t working because I never had it switched on. Should I have left the aircon on for the technician when I took in my car? Aircon was sorted, but then I had a maintenance notification indicator every time I started the vehicle. Car went back on 10/10/23 to have this fixed. When my car reached +- 8000km I experienced a front blown headlamp on the Driver’s side. I decided to keep my communication on e-mail to customer care on 7/11/2023 after I did not get any feedback on previous requests. The headlamp was replaced. On the 27th of Feb 2024 this year the same headlamp had blown again. I received the very first e-mail back from Chery Customer care Coordinator on the same day, requesting my contact details and vehicle registration, which I responded. I again sent an e-mail on 04/03/2024 with a follow up e-mail, still no response. I work some late hours and is not safe to drive at night from Midrand to Pretoria. My wife even started sending e-mails to every e-mail address she could find. The first contact I received back from the dealership was on 17/04. I was then informed that they have changed from Supplier on the headlamps. I missed the managers call on the 17th and then was trying to get hold of him. Whenever I phoned the dealership he was not available. I got hold of him after my 3rd e-mail on 25/04 Eventually the headlamp was replaced for the second time. On 30/08/2024 I contacted the dealership again, as the same headlamp has now blown for the 3rd time. I requested to bring the car back on the Saturday, which I understood was a bit short notice. I then made an appointment for the 7th of September 2024 to have the headlamp replaced. I also spoke to the parts manager who then also said that they have changed from Supplier. At 09h35 my car was still not attended to. I then requested my car keys to be handed back as I could not wait longer. When I walked to the back in the workshop following the lady that booked my car in the same morning, the gentleman in the workshop said that she must send someone to Midas quickly to get a globe. After I left on 07/09/2024 with the headlamp still not replaced at 10h00 am. I received a call at 11h27 informing me that they are still busy with my car, because they are busy, but she will give me a call back as soon as my vehicle is ready. I then told her that I am at home and already left at 10h00. On Monday 09 September 2024 I contacted Customer care. I spoke to the very same Customer Coordinator whom I lodged my complaint with on 27/02/2024. I was informed that she will investigate with the dealership, and contact me again. Today is the 26/09/2024 and I still have not received any Feedback from Chery SA or Chery Menlyn. Now I have another problem, the plastic on the inside of the door handle is coming off. Will that ever be fixed. The sales department does not portrait the service you are promised when you buy the car. Think before you even consider this vehicle!!

I have again taken my Car back to Chery on 05/06/2025 for another defect. The paint on the mirror cover was peeling off, and I experienced a maintenance notification. I received feedback on 23/06/2025 that my car is ready for collection. When I went to collect my vehicle on Tuesday Morning the Cover was not up to standard. When I asked if the Maintenance notification was attended to, the person that assisted me was not sure. When my wife asked what was the reason for the maintenance notification, we received a explanation that maybe the mileage was set incorrectly when it went for its annual service. The car is not due for Service at all. How would I know whether there is nothing wrong if this is the type of answer. No further communication was received up to date from Penta Menlyn.
