The worst service at the worst price.

I have been purchasing my building goods at Builders Warehouse for as long as I can remember and thought to try a new hardware store with a new roofing project I had started. Firstly I had arrived at the Montague Gardens store with dimensions written out and asked the advice of the Sales Manager on duty. He then recommended a certain amount of sheets of poly carbon sheeting that I needed. They then recommended various other fittings and joins which were all within spec. After all of this the sheets arrived the next day and was not enough to cover my roof area that I indicated on my drawing the second issue was that one of the Polycarbon sheet that had been delivered was exceptionally damaged. This put a major delay on my project and had to wait until the following week for additional sheets to be delivered and the damaged sheet to be replaced. I had to then wait for a further 2 days for it to be delivered due to complications from their supplier. Whilst this is all going on I popped in to another hardware store down the road called Brights to see if they couldnt assist with additional parts as Pennypinchers was not impressing me one bit. It turns out that Brights was more than 10% cheaper than Penny pinchers on the exact same roof sheeting and gave me all the advise I had been looking for. When I approached Penny pinchers management about all my issues and difference in price they took three days to respond and apologised for any poor service and said that since I had already purchased the product there was nothing they could do with the price (I had sent them a quotation I received from Brights) . They said next time they would match the price. Lesson learnt and unfortunately this one cost me money that I could of otherwise saved.
