Penhill Farm- shocking treatment
We booked Penhill Farm outside Worcester in the Nuy Valley for my daughter’s wedding, one year in advance. After some time we were informed that the manager/chef had left and the owner was seeking a replacement. This left us in limbo with no idea what to expect but when a new chef was appointed we were disappointed with the offering. We asked the owner if we could bring in our own choice of caterer for the wedding, but we were refused. We have ultimately been treated extremely badly, with no empathy or understanding. The owner has been rude, inconsistent , arrogant and pedantic in the extreme. We have very fortunately been able to relocate to a nearby venue where we have experienced incredible people with kindness and compassion at Eikehof Farm. Penhill Farm as a venue is lovely, but the owner has no instinct for hospitality and is a disgrace to the industry. I post this as a warning to anyone considering it as a venue, beware. Watch this space - his response will indicate his attitude.
