DON'T USE PENGUIN POOLS!

Back in 2013 we contracted Penguin Pools to build our pool - the consultant Marie ***ley (a sweet mature lady) was attentitive to all of our requirements, assisting us with all of our queries and really did a very good sales job! As we live in a Dolomite area we needed an Engineer certificate, after receiving the quote based on our Engineer's specs, and with the assurance that their Engineer would oversee the building - it was all systems go - deposit paid - this is where our nightmare started, from shoddy building work, workers who did not come as promised, delayed building work, constant fighting, and then finally after completion and 2.5 years later we still have not received our engineer certificate which is now delaying the council in giving us our COC! Caution do not use them - even senior management are not willing to assist nor are they interested, Derek du Plessis, JP Zietzman from their Pretoria branch as for this sweet mature lady Marie - well it seems that there is nothing sweet or 'lady' about Marie! Just wish we had used HelloPeter reviews before accepting them build our pool - also note that THEY ARE NOT REGISTERED with the Builders Association - APSP - even though it states this clearly on their contract. #penguinpools
