Buyer be very Aware of Penguin Pools

<p>This consumer report serves to warn other potential swimming pool buyers against ********** quality workmanship, bad attitudes and non-existing warranties.</p> <p>We engaged with Penguin Pools in October of 2016 and started investigating multiple vendors. We went with Penguin Pools for three reasons:</p> <p>i) Their time-lines were on target with our expectations</p> <p>ii) The price was sort of right</p> <p>iii) We failed horribly to do our research into this ******* institution</p> <p>When the contracts etc. were all signed and sealed the drama started. If you are not a project manager by trade, then there is another reason not to go with Penguin Pools as they can’t even manage their own projects. One consistently has to phone Penguin Pools to understand when they will come back and complete work – no communication from them in this regard. They are very quick to start your project, but to return consistently to complete the work is a whole different ball game.</p> <p>Since the pool shell arrived they manhandled it and had to put it into the ground and remove it three times.</p> <p>A project that was agreed to take a month took 3-4 months to complete. Every day their contractors arrive, its new people that has to figure out what the previous crew did in order for them to continue. Some days Penguin Pools would arrive at 14h00 and leave at 15h00 – and did nothing during that one hour on site.</p> <p>During the entire project the construction manager was nowhere to be seen (which to me is most of the problem). Calling the office is another ball ache all together. Because the owner, Derek think he’s god, one is not allowed to speak to him. The office staff are extremely rude and they don’t care about your problems.</p> <p>Penguin Pools had not even left the premises and we could already see various defective areas on the pool.</p> <p>Long story short, buyer be very aware, to deal with Penguin Pools is to open yourself up for endless drama and bad workmanship. Unfortunately the Penguin Pools we grew up with, is now owned by people that cannot run a business, never mind constructing pools to swim in. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
