My father received a monthly pension through Pencare. After his passing in october 2024 my sister and I have sent in excess of several emails and numerous calls were made to obtain the policy document or details on the benefits applicable to the beneficiary. Every email response received is a generic reply and every call is a 'we can only confirm what is on the system, yet no documentation or information is being supp****. Our father worked for Al**** and since his retirement has been receiving his pension through Pencare without fail, we have tirelessly called the pencare organisation with no success, last call confirmed that no confirmation of anything can be given, without those documents or information regarding his pension, his estate is on hold. With holding of deceased information is in contravention of the FAIS Act. Policy documentation and/or information should be made available to the relevant beneficiary. We are at the end of the rope. The so called callcentre/client care with only having one call centre number that seems to be there not to help or assist client as it is forever unavailable or on hold if you do get through you do not get helped.
