Charity race for kids but nothing to do FOR the kids

We went to Turffontein yesterday to attend the “Horse racing” event of the year. We took our 4 year old granddaughter as she loves horses and the horse racing. She has been through tough times the last couple of months so we looked forward to take her out a bit. What a big disappointment!! There was absolutely nothing for the kids to do. When we arrived I only saw a few cars and thought we were to early but it seems the event wasn’t supported as much. It is evident why, the food stalls were all the same as per “ normal “ day racing and the kids had nothing to do. And this event is for the kids???? Or is this now also becoming a money making scheme? We left halfway through the day as my granddaughter was bored being there.
