no services rendered paid r1600 fee

i am utterly disgusted by the non delivery service rendered by pearlfin finance. in the first week of august 2015 i spoke to laurin pienaar sales-pearlfin finance consultant as due to financial constraints i wanted to apply to consolodate my debt i was informed by the sales consultant i must first pay r1600 before they can help me. i paid ther1600 and before a consultantcontacted me telephonically i received an sms that pearfin cant assist me.i cancelled immediately my application within 3 days and was told my deposit is non refundable. i am very disappointed that no services was rendered i had to borrow money from a friend to pay the deposit and did not get any service now i have lost r1600 and still have to pay my friend back.in this day of age with the consumer protection act in place it is really disappointing that consumers are still taken advantage of.this type of exploitation is not right and leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
