Best have a Good Looking Neck - If you sent in your necklace for repairs its not coming back.

PDD was recommended to me, as they were a reasonably priced jewellery with expertise that allegedly compared to that of Browns.

That is a raving review. It is also the worst recommendation i was ever given.

I took in my grandads 24ct gold signet ring for redesign and a polish with engraving done as per all signets. Upon the receipt of the new ring, it was scratch along to inside and melted down to something like a 9ct ring.

I thought, maybe just a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes. Got it back I would not refer to my reaction as "overwhelmed." Grandad is dead so is his signet.

The next part is what really got me cross. I wanted to make a signet for my own dad. I took all the jewellery I owned but did not really wear, to have them melt the lot of it down;

1. 18ct White Gold 1.something diamond channel ring - it was marked as 9ct and MAYBE diamonds. Odd considering my insurance papers do not reflect the same.

3. Gold Bracelets 18ct x2

4. Broken Jenna Clifford silver bracelet

5. Silver Baguette cz ring

6. Silver anklet

7. White Gold neckless

These were to be melted for my second signet.

In addition, I sent a Topaz ring for resizing, a trinity ring for mending and a gold band for resizing.

For the first time in 28 years they were ****** from there high-tech vault. Which i was informed of over a whatsapp message. I had to chase after them as I needed to know about the refund.

At first I was offered the option to continue and in JULY I was **** to by their lawyers stating that claim did not pay out and it was not due to any negligence. I received a call from one of the staff members, they told me that the claim was paid out they only paid certain amounts to their discretion.

They sent me these ridiculous lawyers letters - as they as the jeweller do not take responsibility for the loss or ****** items in their possession.

Just to round off this tale, they sent me a whatsapp message of the disclaimer on the wall.

If you do not like jewellery and losing money - i know just the place.
