Contact before Delivery.

Bought a printer from PC Shopper and everything was right: price, response etc. - except when it came to delivery: I have no way of knowing what time of what day the company's driver will arrive... he did NOT have my phone number on the invoice! So, no sms, no whatsapp message, no missed call. Does the company WANT to have their van driving around wasting petrol ? Am I missing something?
