HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE Pc Link Experience and HOW I GOT MY REFUND
I had such a horrible experience with Pc Link Computers. I am going to keep this as short as possible and how I was able to finally get a refund, which may help you.
I ordered a product from their website, which was in stock, on their website. I made the full payment using PayFast. A few minutes later, I received an email stating that my order status was changed to paid.
When I logged into my account, I did not see my order. I emailed the support request email and Dustin responded that they did have the order and that it was at the supplier waiting to be allocated, furthermore they said that the order was waiting with the supplier waiting to be "allocated" and that FastWay couriers will deliver within 3 days. I waited the week and did not receive the package.
I then emailed them asking if there was a problem and if they could provide me with a tracking number. I had to wait over 3 days before I got a response. When they finally emailed back to say that the package was with FastWay couriers and that it would be delivered within 48 hours. I did not get a tracking number. I emailed them again for a tracking number, but all my communication was ignored. I waited another 3 days and still did not receive the package.
I then emailed them numerous times, with different support request emails, and in total, I had about 8 open support request tickets. I even emailed the Florida Glen business, to which they rep**** very quickly stating that this was a local order and was unable to help.
I then emailed all my support requests again and still did not receive any response. I checked the website and they were advertising the product, and it was in stock. I was confused, it was in stock but I still hadn't received my product for almost 3 weeks.
I was frustrated, worried and irritated.
How I managed to get a refund: I read a few reviews on Hello Peter and one user stated that they emailed the payment processor, PayFast, which I did last week Saturday. I explained my whole situation to PayFast and even attached all the support requests and emails.
Within 30 minutes, they answered back and stated that they have emailed Pc Link Computers to respond within 2 business days. On Monday morning, I received an automated email on Pc Link that my order status was changed to REFUND. I was relieved that I was going to receive a refund within the week... (grab the popcorn here)... I did not receive my refund from PC Link.
I then emailed all my Pc Link support requests with an email stating that if I did not receive a response about my refund, then I would be contacting PAYFAST for their attention. This email was sent on Sunday afternoon. On Monday morning, I was cc'd by Michelle Fiandeiro which she asked Pc Link to refund me.
I waited for 3 days and did not receive the refund, so I emailed Payfast and they confirmed that the refund was processed and I finally received my money back into my account late last night.
This was a horrible experience. I was frustrated, worried and had to waste so much time emailing back and forth.
WHAT DID I LEARN? 1. Although PC link prices are great, it is actually much cheaper if you order from Amazon directly, pay for the import fees (which are high) but still came out cheaper in the end for the product. (You can even order 2 or 3 products and your import taxes will lower). Amazon will deliver directly to your house, which is what is happening with the product I ordered with Pc Link.
2. If you would like a refund, I suggest you contact the Payment Processor and lodge a claim against Pc Link with them, e.g. PayFast. PayFast was extremely professional and will email you back within 24 hours and will resolve the issue from their side. PayFast keeps in constant contact with you to ensure your issue is resolved.
3. Pc Link seems to respond quickly and jump into action when PayFast is involved. So I suggest you send the Payment Processor for a refund.
I hope this helps you and good luck!
