15 Dec 2020, 05:53TERRIBLE SERVICE. Payfast can confirm that they are not a ****. They are not good with customer service. The phone lines have been off during covid, meaning you will only be able to contact them via email. You will continually wait for an answer as they "revert back to you". I ordered on the 11th of October and have waited two months (45 working days), only to find that my order was 'with the supplier' who was 'waiting for quotes from SA customs'. The estimated delivery time for their international supplier (POSTBOX) is 3-5 days, so how can it take 2 months for them to get to this point? While Dehan and Graham do respond to emails, they are very ambiguous and there is no actual answer about the shipment tracking and delivery dates. Don't put yourself through the stress, pay more and use a takealot/ amazon.
UPDATE:
Shortly after this post, I requested a refund and Dehan confirmed that they would initiate the refund. I then contacted Payfast to initiate and follow up on the refund. Payfast have access to PC link contacts, and can act as a middle man if they are ignoring you. THANK YOU PAYFAST for helping me with this ongoing saga.
After Payfast made contact with PC link, I was suddenly informed that the item had arrived in South Africa and was being couriered to me. This was confusing for both myself and Payfast because in my last correspondence with PC link, we had spoken about a refund. PC link then had the audacity to turn on their phone line. I was called by Dehan, who confirmed that the order was being couriered to me. They choose to keep the phone line off, but are actually in the office. This is despicable.
After Payfast followed up multiple times, I received a tracking order. PC Link uses Fastway, which also has terrible reviews online. My parcel was stuck in the CT depot for 3 days longer than expected and I ended up driving to the depot in Parow to collect my parcel.
When I FINALLY opened it, I noticed that the box didn't have proper sealing. This could just be because the item came from US customs and they usually open packages that enter the country. I inspected the item and everything is in working order.
In closing. All of this stress could have been avoided. PC link has such bad customer service. They do not do enough to keep customers at ease. Their vague responses and lack of tracking details until the very end keep you in the dark. They are CHOOSING to keep their phones off. They need to improve their communication lines and find better couriers. I waited far too long, and was pushed back and forth too many times. My item arrived after 2 months. Without Payfast's intervention, I'm not sure if it would have arrived at all.
