"7 - 15 working days to deliver". Try 45 working days and nothing!
I decided to order a more expensive product to avoid paying for a lesser product at Takealot. I placed the order on the 10th Feb 2019. I was told it would be delivered in 7 -15 work days. When I manually followed up, as their order update service didn't ever give me an update, on the 28 Feb 2019, I received a response on 4th March 2019, advising me "We are expecting your order to arrive with our next consignment which should be this week". It is now 3rd April 45 working days later and still no update. Pathetic

We have since updated our estimated delivery time to 10-20 working as delays do happen.
Problems sometimes arise during the importation of goods such as suppliers delaying orders, customs detaining shipments,
acts of God, SARS inspections, customs inspections, Port Health inspections or flight delays. This is stated in our Terms and Conditions in order for you, the customer, to be fully aware of any and all issues that can happen. There are occasions where products get held at customs for weeks and we unfortunately do not have control over these occurrences.
However do sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and delay caused and we hope to be able to deal with these issues better in the future.
