Disinterested and not at all helpful computer "non -repair"

Took my laptop for a repair and the assistant convinced me that it was not worth repairing - too expensive, too long to get parts, and this after a cursary glance. I managed to get it repaired elsewhere at 1/3 of the price quoted within 24hours. Clearly there seemed to be more interested in selling me new equipment - will definitely not go back there
