Paypal ****

About 3 weeks ago someone bought my Canon lens for his camera. I’m not fami**** with PayPal so this would be my first time make use of it. The buyer actually needed to teach me how to use it. I tend to trust people too quickly.After receiving his proof of payment on whatsapp, it looked legit, I sent him the lens. Thereafter I received numerous Paypal emails.

After 10 days the lens was delivered and then the weirdness started. “Paypal”, or what I thought was Paypal, requested a service fee of R1700. Stupidly, I paid the fee.Then they asked me my banking details. This is were alarms started going off.Then they ask for a second payment for authorization fees of R2000.

I forwarded all these mails to paypal. I've sent paypal numerous emails and NOTHING. No reply.

Paypal is suppose to protect you as seller and look what happened.I lost the lens, the R8000 the guy “paid” and the fees which I paid (which was obviously a ****).

All I want from Paypal is a reply.

Anyone who has a telephone number or email address for me, here in South Africa,to contact them would very much be appreciated.This is such a mess and I have lost a lot of money. I would really appreciate any assistance.
