Paypal non-user-friendly in South Africa
Paypal services are so difficult to navigate in South Africa. There is only one service provider that can assist with the service and the currency converter does not convert to ZAR. I do not see the point of offering the service you offer in RSA because it is extremely non-user-friendly. I have spent almost a month now trying to figure out how to withdraw money from my PayPal account. The banks are vague and have no information. I had to directly contact FNB to get information that my bank could have given me, spearheading the account verification process. It has taken so long that I actually am looking for another international financial service provider.
Paypal made it is so difficult to access my money during COVID 19, that I am sitting broke because that money was supposed to help me access some work which I could no longer access on time. You guys take this money thing for granted and only focus on the service itself and not the relationships with your stakeholders at all.
Figuring out whether to use my card or my account was a tedious process. Linking my Paypal account to an FNB online profile was a tedious process, linking that online profile to my Standard Bank account has taken forever because there is no transparency in the way the FICA documents are verified.
I mean seriously so many channels just to withdraw money that could come straight through to my bank account anyway makes me feel like my information is not safe and that spreading all over can lead to all kinds of *****.
Paypal you make me feel unsafe and make me feel like my money is not safe using your service.
