Fine paid bu not reflected - *****

I received a traffic fine in late January 2016. I paid said fine in the amount of R200 PLUS the admin fee of R7.50 via paymyfines.co.za on 5 Feb 2016. I received proof of payment and a Reference number. My bank statement reflects such payment. I have subsequently since October 2016 received numerous SMS's indicating that my fine is outstanding. I have repeatedly tried to contact paymyfines on their telephone number - which usually remains unanswered after over 10mins of hanging on. I did manage to get through on 13th October 2016 and provided the Ref No for proof of payment. They would not give me a reference number for my call, but asked me to email the proof of payment. I emailed the proof of payment as requested - but received absolutely no response. Today I have received another SMS indicating that a summons has now been issued as my fine has not been paid according to them. paymyfines simply don't answer calls to their call centre. I have emailed paymyfines again - but I'm not holding my breath that they will respond.

I contacted Overstrand Municipality Traffic Dept who were most helpful, but clearly indicated that my fine does not reflect a payment. So I have paid Paymyfines, but they have not paid it over to the muncipality. This is *****!!!! I have now paid the fine AGAIN directly into the Municipality bank account as paymyfines are clearly not going to do it before the court appearance date on the summons!

I will never use paymyfines again and strongly advise no-one else to either!

In contrast - Payfine and PayCity have been superb services over the years!
