Salespeople who lie to get sales

I was mislead into buying this device and given the wrong price.

I went to total sports in springs mall on the 24th of October and one of the salesperson convinced me to buy a cellphone after mentioning mine is giving me problems. They showed me the Huawei Honr 7xc which was on special , and told me they can offer an affordable payment plan or option as I didn’t afford the full amount.

They said I will be paying R1000 for 3 months, I agreed because I thought it’s reasonable. When I got home my daughter saw that it is payjoy and ask me how much I will be paying and to also double check the payment period as she said it doesn’t make sense.

I went to pay my second instalment today and wanted to get more clarification, however I was shocked that a device that I was told was on special for less than R3000 is now R9000+ and that I was required to pay R1000 for more than 6 months.

I won’t be able to afford that, and would like to cancel the contact as they said they can’t assist. I believe the salespeople should be honest with customers and not just lie to make a final sale.

Had I knew the information I found out today then I wouldn’t have bothered myself with the trouble, as I know my financial difficulties. I am single stay at home woman, so every penny counts and I can’t spend R9000 on just a device.
