Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding ********* Practices by PayJoy
Dear [PayJoy],
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against PayJoy for unfair business practices that have caused me significant financial inconvenience.
On [27/11024], I made a payment of [R219] to settle my PayJoy account. To my dismay, I was charged twice for this single payment. I immediately reached out to your support team to rectify this issue and request a refund of the excess amount debited from my account. However, I was informed that the money cannot be returned.
This response is unacceptable and violates the principles of the Consumer Protection Act, which guarantees customers fair treatment and proper recourse in case of disputes. Double-charging a customer without offering a refund constitutes ********* behavior and financial misconduct.
I demand the following actions to be taken:
1. Immediate refund of the excess payment of [R219] to my account.
2. A detailed explanation for why the error occurred and why a refund was initially refused.
3. Assurance that corrective measures have been implemented to prevent this issue from happening again.
If this matter is not resolved within [reasonable timeframe, e.g., 7 working days], I will have no choice but to escalate the issue to the National Consumer Commission and seek legal assistance to protect my rights.
I trust that PayJoy will handle this matter professionally and promptly. You may contact me directly at [***] or [***] to resolve this issue.
Yours sincerely, Peter Mashamaite
