Credit Damage
On 2Dec 2024 I bought a phone using your payjoy facility and on the 3 Dec 2024 i returned the phone to retailer and all documentation wassubmutted via email for contract Cancellation. Bt to my surprise I am still getting messages that I owe R4995.90 for a phone I do not have and also I have been handed over to a collector. The retailer i use was Mr Price Cell in Tsakane. And to my surprise when calling the retailer i am advised that pay joy has not collected the phone.what makes me angry is that my credit report has been dented by this selfish act from your side. Your website logo says " no debt trap" but now i feel trapped and disregarded.

15 May 2025, 11:49I have received 2 calls from Pay joy ( spoke to Penolope) and the attitude and response i got was very bad and poor actually it was horrifying. They are stating that it takes 1 months for them to collect devise from retailer and then only then is the contract canceled. From 3rd December 2024 to date the devise is still sitting at the retailer meanwhile they (pay joy) has decided to hand me over for collection and listed me as bad payer and damaged my credit report. I have decided to now include the ombudsman seeing as they are not taking this matter with urgency taking into consideration the period it took them to sort it out (3 December 2024 to 15 March 2025)
