******* Adverse Credit Listing – PayJoy Refuse Device Cancellation and collection at Hi store fourways
I am writing this review to publicly expose the severe lack of customer support and unfair credit practices by PayJoy South Africa via TFG Hi store.
somewhere around December 2025 and Before 6 January 2026, within days of initiating a contract (Account ID: *** / ***), I attempted to return the unused, boxed device to the TFG Hi store where it was acquired due to affordability, following PayJoy’s official cancellation policy.
The store clerk refused to accept the device and directed me to PayJoy. PayJoy WhatsApp support then referred me right back to TFG. This game of passing the buck created a complete problem, Device returned on the 6 of January 2026 accepted by the same clerk, we checked the device together before he took it to their back office, and he whiten the email to payjoy asking which platform he need to follow for capturing returning device and how pay joy will collect it (to me he was unsure/ not trained or told the returning process as he took my details and promised update) The device remains completely unused, locked by PayJoy, and was in its original box with all accessories. Despite actively trying to return the device according to their terms, PayJoy and TFG have: Refused to cancel and collect the returned of the device in the store. Wrongfully listed an adverse default of R14,157.00 against my ID with the credit bureaus. A formal 7-day dispute notice was issued directly to PayJoy management and nkosinathi ndlela, he rep**** to some of TFG Fourways Hi store clerk emails but not actioned as the device still with the store, TFG customer care also got same email and Meagan Booysen confirmed that since pay joy received mail, they will action it. . The 7 business days have passed with zero resolution or effort to resolve the issue.
As a result, I have now officially lodged a formal complaint against PayJoy with the National Credit Regulator (NCR) under Section 136 of the National Credit Act (Form 29).
I demand that PayJoy immediately:
1.Provide instructions to collect their device at TFG Hi Fourways mall over the boxed device.
2.Cancel the R14,157.00 account balance in full.
3.Instruct all Credit Bureaus to immediately clear the adverse listing from my profile.
I understand there may be some confusion surrounding your cancellation, and I truly apologize for any trouble this has caused.
