Too much interest

Yes I didn't pay you but how can every week you add R85??? Funny because you deduct your money fortnightly but now you add R85 every week. Even big companies like woolies they don't do that and for me I will pay you and leave. You are ******

Dear Nobuntu

Payment plan installment dates are fixed, as per the T&C's when you signed up with Payflex.  This is the only way we are able to provide a charge and interest-free service to our customers.

When a customer misses their installment payment date, Payflex incur costs from our bank and other 3rd party service providers.

I am sure you would agree it would be unfair for Payflex to carry additional costs when customers don't meet their commitments. So these costs need to be carried by you the customer.

There are always consequences when one does meet ones commitments.

The terms and conditions are very clear regarding penalties. See sections 5.1.5 to to 5.2 and 8.3 of the terms of conditions at this link.  https://payflex.co.za/terms-conditions/

We also provide this information in our FAQ's that can be found on this link https://payflex.co.za/shopper-faqs/. We extract below the FAQ in question for your ease of reference.

Are there really no extra fees or interest rates?

That’s right, and we’ll shout it from the rooftops! THERE REALLY ARE NO INTEREST OR EXTRA FEES. Simply put, we’re not like your traditional finance companies. We believe in giving you the choice to get it now and pay later! Pay your scheduled payments on time and you’ll pay the original price your item was advertised for. It does sound too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not. There’s only one time you would ever pay more…and that’s if you miss a scheduled payment. Then, sadly, we’ll have to charge a R85.00 (incl. VAT) default fee to cover our costs and a further R85.00 (incl. VAT) for every week the instalment is outstanding for a maximum of three (3) charges. So, to avoid the drama, just make sure you have money in your account in advance of your scheduled instalment. We’ll email you in advance every time as a reminder.
We trust this helps you and anyone else that reads this review, understand the fees we charge. Remember as long as one keeps to the payment dates, then everything will be OK.

Regards

The Payflex Team.
