Hi Nico
From a Payflex perspective everything that was supposed to have been done from our side regarding the refund was done correctly.
So we are truly concerned about your review as we have done nothing more that try to assist you via support desk since the 20th October.
You anger, threats and tone in the support emails you sent was not necessary, but can be understood to a degree as the process of online shopping, returns and refunds can seem rather confusing. It is very very different from buying in a brick and mortar store. But we guarantee that we are not a ****, or we would not have assisted you all the way through the process via our support desk to get you funds reimbursed.
Your money was returned when Takealot posted the cancellation. When the funds were released on the 22nd October it enters the banking system and the banks clearing periods will then take over. We have no control over this. It is not an instantaneous process.
The money would have cleared by now in the 2 amounts of R396.00 and R401.00 which make up the R797.00 owed to you.
We are not sure how else to explain everything.
One last point worth noting though.
Payflex is not part of the merchant business so we are not involved in product delivery, cancellations, or returns.
Only when the merchant processes the refund, cancellation, or return on their side will we be made aware of it. The merchant may also decline the return and not refund you in line with their returns policies.
Until then and to be sure we do require our clients to continue paying installments. This is to avoid penalty fees and a bad credit rating with Payflex.
Please refer to section 5.3 and section 6 of our terms and conditions for more detail. https://payflex.co.za/terms-conditions/ Once the merchant processes the return you will be reimbursed for everything you have paid to date back to the bank card you paid with or your installments adjusted accordingly, should the return have been less than the total order amount.
