Meant to alleviate financial stress, yet not willing to help customers.
I love this service. I have been able to make bigger purchases in a move convenient way that assists not only me, but my family. This weekend I placed an order on 26 October 2024. The first payment of about R500 went off, however I noticed after the order was already processed, that the second payment is already due on 01 November.
I emailed to query and was just told that this is how it works. Not only did I find the consultant's tone to be condescending. I don't understand how a service that is meant to alleviate financial stress can expect their customers to make two payments of R500 in six days and when I asked if these days can be amended, I am told they are set.
Why cant payflex amend these dates? It is just bad customer service. How is this a reasonable pay period when I have to have the first two payments ready in 6 days and I get a break on the next one. Seriously contemplating using an alternative service.
Very important to note is that salary dates cannot be adjusted on any active payment plans. Once placed they are fixed.
Only 4 salary dates are available. The 1st, 15th, 20th and 25th.
So, if your salary date is the 25th of each month and you purchase on the 15th of August as an example, the payment plan will look as follows:
15th August - Payment 1
25th August - Payment 2
25th September - Payment 3
In other words - If you use Pay in 3 five or more days before your payday of that month, the second payment will be on the same month's payday. If you make your purchase within 5 days of your payday, then the second payment will only be charged on the following month's payday.
